"Discovering
Victoria and A
Hudson View was
an accidental
blessing: Having
dabbled in poetry
for awhile and,
thereby, faced the
rejections of many,
Victoria (it seems)
saw something others
missed and gave my
writings a chance to
be read and
critiqued by a wider
audience.
Her proactiveness
and commitment to
the magazine are
laudable enough.
But, it is
the efforts she
makes for her
authors that makes
her truly
remarkable. In no
more profound way
has this
been demonstrated
than by her welcome
of my daughter's
poem to A Hudson
View.
Putting herself
fully behind the
piece, making
sure the
formatting was
"perfect" and that
the published
editions reached us
in time to get them
ready as a surprise
Christmas gift,
Victoria was also
admirably
careful concerning
the information made
available on this
first young author
to be published in
the magazine.
I have presented A
Hudson View to
several libraries
and one university,
and will continue to
do what I can to
spread the wings of
a notable
publication for
aspiring poets."
November 2010:
Victoria, Just
received it. I’m
impressed: the
look of it; the
quality of subs.
I’m proud to be
included. Thank
you, Stan

Kartika
Budhwar was chosen for the Library Honor Display (for
this month of April 2010) of Soka University Of America,
where she studies... which generally features a
well-known literary writer. A Hudson Review was also
featured alongside. This is a picture of the glass
display featuring Kartika and Hudson View. A visitor
took this photo and mailed it to me.

Nibedita Sen
Spring 2010 Hudson View
cover artist
Pushcart Prize Nominee
2010

(comments about Nibedita's cover art)
She’s
wonderful! Her work reminds me of Jung’s idea on the blue and red
spectrum in the collective (objective and unconscious)psyche i.e.
the material imagination. The two poems I sent are the beginning of
my work exploring matter and beauty in aesthetics (that is the next
theme for the ezine, Mythopoetry Scholar) I got excited when I saw
the cover and back of the next issue of A Hudson View.
